Airdrie Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that has been committed since 1983 to providing affordable, nutritious, well-balanced, and flavourful meals to seniors, homebound individuals, or those who struggle to shop, chop & prepare meals on their own, all while respecting independence and dignity. Delivery is 5 days a week with the option of ordering extra meals for weekends and holidays. There is flexibility to our plans so clients can opt in 2 times a week or 5. Our financial supporters aid us in keeping meals subsidized for those on fixed incomes, and our team of volunteers make the organization work. Meals are prepared at a local senior's living facility so we can easily accommodate dietary restrictions, and our client liaison must be made aware of allergies during the intake interview. Meal prices are on a sliding scale and veterans are asked to please identify themselves as veterans so proper billing can be put in place.
